IPL | Outstanding batting performance helps RCB to beat RR by 10 wickets

In a one sided match Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 10 wickets in Mumbai on 22nd April.
Winning the toss, RCB’s skipper Virat Kohli decided to bowl first in a batting friendly pitch. But the RCB bowlers managed to restrict the RR’s score at 177 in 20 overs.

For the RR, Shivam Dubey scored the highest, 46 runs in 32 balls, while Assam lad Riyan Parag scored 25 runs in 16 balls before losing his wicket to Harshal Patel. For the RCB, pacer Mohammad Siraj and Harshal Patel took 3 wickets each.

Chasing a respectable score of 178, opener Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal scored all the runs without losing any wicket. Karnataka’s batsman Devdutt Padikkal also scored a century in the match. He played an astonishing innings of 101 runs in just 52 balls. On the other hand, Virat Kohli scored 72 runs in 47 balls.

Kohli also became the first player in IPL history to score over 6000 runs in IPL.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings will be facing Mumbai Indians in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium at Chennai tonight.
