Ghankanta’s Encounter Death Reported on Father’s Shraddha Day, “Today, My Father’s Soul Has Found Peace,” Says Ranjan Das

An emotional atmosphere has engulfed the families of the victims following the death of Ghankanta Gogoi, the prime accused in the sensational Bilas Inn shooting and gruesome murder case in Guwahati, in a police encounter.

A total of five people lost their lives in the horrific incident, including members of Bhudev Bharali’s family and Narayan Das, a dedicated employee of the Bharali family and a resident of Barpeta Road.

Amid the profound grief, the news of Ghankanta Gogoi’s death has brought a sense of relief to the bereaved family of Narayan Das. Notably, the last rites and Shraddha ceremony of Narayan Das were being performed at his residence today when the family received the news that the prime accused had been killed in a police encounter.

Overcome with emotions, Narayan Das’s son, Ranjan Das, reacted to the news on the very day of his father’s Shraddha ceremony.

Expressing his feelings, Ranjan Das said, “Today, my father’s soul has found peace.”

The pain of losing his father and the memories of the tragic incident continue to haunt the family. However, the news of the prime accused’s death on the day of his father’s Shraddha has made the occasion even more emotional for the bereaved family.
