From App to Counter: RR expand ticket access in Guwahati

16

Guwahati is steadily building excitement ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) fixtures, with Rajasthan Royals taking a fan-friendly step to make match tickets more accessible across the city. In addition to online bookings, cricket enthusiasts can now purchase tickets from designated physical counters, offering greater convenience for local supporters.

While digital bookings continue to be available through the District by Zomato app, the introduction of offline ticket counters provides fans with a direct and flexible way to secure their seats. Supporters can opt for both physical and digital tickets, with payment options including cash as well as digital transactions.

The move is aimed at enhancing the overall fan experience in Guwahati, ensuring that a wider audience can easily access tickets for the much-anticipated matches. With cricket fever already gripping the city, this initiative is expected to streamline the process for those who prefer in-person purchases.

Tickets are currently available at three key locations across Guwahati. Fans can visit City Center Mall on GS Road between 1 PM and 9 PM, South Point School in Barsapara from 11 AM to 5 PM, and the Brahmaputra Riverfront at Uzan Bazar from 11 AM to 7 PM. These counters are strategically placed to cater to different parts of the city, making it easier for supporters to reach them.

Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to play three matches in Guwahati as part of their home leg this season. The team will take on Chennai Super Kings on March 30, followed by a clash against Mumbai Indians on April 7, and then face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10. Each of these fixtures is expected to draw significant attention, given the popularity of the teams involved and the growing cricket culture in the region.

The presence of high-profile teams and players is likely to create a vibrant atmosphere at the stadium, with fans eagerly waiting to witness top-tier cricket action live. The introduction of offline ticket sales is expected to further boost attendance, particularly among those who prefer traditional purchasing methods.

With demand anticipated to be high, fans are being encouraged to secure their tickets at the earliest through their preferred mode of purchase. As Guwahati prepares to host another exciting chapter of IPL action, the city is all set to welcome cricket lovers for a memorable matchday experience.
