Four Bihar Gangsters Killed in Encounter with Delhi Police in Rohini

A major encounter broke out in Delhi’s Rohini in the early hours of Wednesday, leading to the death of four wanted criminals from Bihar who were allegedly plotting to spread terror in the state ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections.

According to officials, the fierce shootout took place around 2:20 am in the intervening night of October 22 and 23, 2025 in Rohini. The gun fight ensued between a joint team of the Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Bihar Police and four suspected criminals.

The slain gangsters have been identified as: Ranjan Pathak (25), son of Manoj Pathak, Bimlesh Mahto alias Bimlesh Sahni (25), Manish Pathak (33), Aman Thakur (21). Police said all four were wanted in several heinous crimes, including multiple murders in Bihar.

Among the dead was Ranjan Pathak, a notorious gangster from Sitamarhi, who, along with his associates, had allegedly been planning to unleash violence in Bihar ahead of the polls. Pathak led a gang known as “Sigma and Company,” which operated from Nepal and executed crimes across Nepal border.

Sources said the gang had recently come under the radar of Bihar Police after an audio call surfaced, revealing their plan to “create terror in Bihar before the elections.”
