ED Summons Actor Dino Moreain Mithi River Desilting Scam Probe
The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Bollywood actor Dino Morea and his brother Santino Morea for questioning in connection with an alleged multi-crore scam involving the desilting and cleaning of Mumbai’s Mithi River. Mr Morea has been directed to appear before ED officials next week to record his statement.
The summons came a day after the agency conducted a nearly 14-hour-long search at Morea’s Bandra residence yesterday. Mr Morea was extensively questioned during the search. In addition, ED officials also carried out simultaneous operations at 14 other locations across Mumbai and Kochi.
Earlier, on 26th May, Dino Morea was questioned by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police. The scam allegedly revolves around fake billing and fraudulent MoUs submitted to the Brihanm
