Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) for District Education Officers and DIET Members on 30th – 31st October 2025
The Department of School Education and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) is organizing a Two-day “Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)” for District Education Officers and DIET Members.
The objective of this workshop is to enhance the skills of district-level officials in the areas of innovation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This bootcamp is being organized in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, renowned for its support of entrepreneurship education. The Phase-1 of IDE Bootcamp for PM SHRI schools is scheduled on 30-31st October 2025 at Assam down town University, Guwahati, Assam.
Prof. Sitharam T.G., Chairman, AICTE, Shri Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, AICTE, jointly inaugurated the Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)” for District Education Officers and DIET Members at 25 States and 2 UTs.
State Level Inauguration at Assam down town University was inaugurated by Dr. (Prof.) N.C. Talukdar, Vice Chancellor, AdtU, Khanindra Das, ACS, Officer on Special Duty, Samagra Shiksha Assam, Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Sr. Accounts Officer, AICTE, New Delhi, Nitin Kumar, Startup Fellow, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, New Delhi, Anbumathi M, Founder – Resources Life science, Master Trainer – Wadhwani Foundation, New Delhi, Dr. Arvind Deshmukh, Consultant, Wadhwani Foundation, New Delhi along with senior officials from the Assam down town University and over 60 + District Education Officers and DIET Members participated.

The event promises a series of group activities, immersive working sessions, and engaging workshops, all tailored to ignite creativity and problem-solving skills. With an emphasis on fostering collaboration and interactive learning, participants will explore into the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation. Throughout the program, attendees will gain valuable insights into the significance of innovation in education, uncover practical strategies for driving change, and harness the power of entrepreneurial thinking.
