BRICS adopts New Delhi Declaration 2026
BRICS member countries have adopted the New Delhi Declaration 2026 at the BRICS Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the joint declaration, saying it reflects a sense of responsibility and strengthens the shared bond among BRICS nations.
Addressing the summit, PM Modi stressed that the new world order cannot be governed by old rules, highlighting the need for reforms in global governance and international institutions.
The declaration was finalised after days of negotiations, particularly to bridge differences between Iran and the UAE amid the ongoing West Asia conflict and achieve consensus among member states.
