The Assam Police has launched helpline for the senior citizens living in the state and staying alone in time of Covid-19 crisis. The new helpline opened by the Assam Police will help facilitating movement for COVID vaccination during lockdown restrictions, if slot is booked.
It will also be arranging a personal visit to check on well being, if the senior citizen is alone and in need, the helpline will also facilitate essential supplies/medicines (not related to COVID treatment and if not available locally). Liaison with health authorities and will answer any other distress call.
