Assam Govt issues Covid-19 guidelines for operating hotels

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has issued Covid-19 guidelines for the hotel and hospitality units to contain the spread of the virus. As per the guidelines apart form the regular protocols of wearing face mask and undertaking sanitization, other protocols have also been emphasized upon.

Hotels have been asked to adopt contactless processes like QR code, online registration forms, digital payment methods, etc. Hotels are also urged to consider developing Crisis Management Plan.

Proper crowd management following Covid-19 protocols are to be ensured, number of people in elevators are to be restricted to 25 percent of the capacity.

Luggage are to be disinfected with 1 percent of sodium hypochloride before sending the luggage to rooms.

Paddle operated dustbins to be placed in rooms and hotel premises, temperature of air-conditioners should range between 24-30 degree Celsius.

Disposable menus and paper napkins are advised to be used.

Social distancing and cleanliness are to be maintained by all means.
