Assam gets first International Master in Class IX student of Maria’s Public School

Guwahati, June 14 (NKTV): In another proud moment of the state, Assam has gained the first Chess International Master of the state. A student of ninth standard from Maria’s Public School in Guwahati Sahil Dey has qualified as International Master.

The world’s apex body for Chess, FIDE, shall make the announcement within 15 days.

It may be mentioned here that Sahil shall be the first International Master from Northeast India as well.
