The Assam Cricket Association announced the schedule of various Cricket tournaments under its banner to be held during the 2021-22 Cricket Season in the state. The Assam Premier Club Championship will be held from the 24th of November to 10 April 2022.
Meanwhile, the R.G. Baruah Trophy U-16 Inter-District Tournament will take place from 2nd Feb to 15th Feb of 2022 and the J. K. Baruah U-19 Inter-District Tournament will be held from 5th Jan to 25th Jan of 2022. The Senior Inter-District Tournament namely, Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy, will be held from 19th April to 31st May of 2022.
The ACA has also proposed to start a new tournament in memory of renowned International umpire, Former President, ACA, and noted legal luminary, Niloy Dutta, who recently passed away, amongst the Universities of the state. It is to be noted that there has been no Inter-University Tournament under the aegis of ACA till now.
The Pulin Das Trophy for Inter-School Tournament, which was launched in the 2019-20 season but could not be completed due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, will be re-started from the current cricketing season and it will be held from 4th Jan to 24th Jan 2022. The first-ever Inter-University tournament recognized by ACA will be held in Tezpur University and Dudhnoi College.
