Ayodhya, the holy city of Lord Ram, glowed with millions of lights as it celebrated its 10th annual Deepotsav with grand festivities ahead of Diwali. The entire city was illuminated with approximately 3 million earthen lamps.

Millions of diyas were lit along both banks of the Sarayu River, including at 56 ghats. More than 35,000 volunteers were engaged in the massive lighting arrangements.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the Sarayu Aarti, while Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also attended the grand celebration.

The spectacular digital light show, drone display and laser show emerged as major attractions of the event. Around 2,100 drones were used for the aerial display, while a laser show was organised over the Sarayu River.

The celebrations also featured cultural performances, including dance and music presentations by around 2,300 artists.

It may be mentioned that the Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya began in 2017, when 1.71 lakh earthen lamps were lit across the city. Since then, the scale of the festival has grown significantly, turning it into a major cultural and religious celebration.
