Gauhati High Court Upholds Clean Chit to Ripun Bora in Daniel Topno Murder Case
In a major legal relief for senior politician Ripun Bora, the Gauhati High Court has rejected a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) challenging his acquittal in the Daniel Topno murder case.
The CBI had moved the High Court against a trial court’s order that gave a clean chit to Bora in connection with the case. However, the High Court dismissed the investigative agency’s plea, reaffirming the lower court’s decision to clear him of all charges.
