Sivasagar: Accused in Biman Baruah Murder Injured in Police Firing
Rubul Khan, a drug cartel associate and key suspect in the murder of Biman Baruah in Bihubar, Nazira, was injured in a police firing incident after attempting to attack police officers and flee custody.
According to police sources, Khan was taken to a specific location to recover a concealed sword used in the crime. During the operation, he retrieved the sword, attacked the accompanying police personnel, and tried to escape. Police responded with defensive firing, hitting Khan in his right leg. He was subsequently rushed to the Sivasagar Civil Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Rubul Khan is an accomplice of main suspect and drug cartel figure Vicky Singh, who was previously shot and injured by police during a separate operation on the night of September 19. Both Khan and Singh were allegedly involved in the murder of Biman Baruah last Friday.
