Guwahati, September 22 (NKTV): Police administration have apprehended ten members of newly floated United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) from different three districts of Bodoland Territorial Region. Addressing a press conference held at SP office today in Kokrajhar, Special DGP and in-charge IGP of BTR Dr LR Bishnoi told that the police have apprehended 10 ULB cadres from different places of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts.
He said that eight of the ten arrested ULB militant outfit organisations were from Kokrajhar district. He also informed that police recovered two pistols, ammunitions, 12 mobile handset and 21 extortion demand letter notes of the ULB militant outfit organisation recovered from the arrested persons.
He also further added that six of the ten members were identified so far. He said that the police administration has been stepping strict steps against the militant outfit organisation in the region.
He also urged the militant organisation members to shun violence and come to the mainstream.
