Youth Found Dead in Downtown Guwahati, Murder Suspected

The body of a young man was recovered from a house in Mathura Nagar area of Downtown Guwahati on Pragati Path.

The deceased has been identified as Madhav Das, a resident of Kahilipara. He was working as a supervisor for contractual jobs.

According to initial reports, the body was found inside a house with visible injury marks on his leg. Foam was also noticed coming out of his mouth.

Dispur Police reached the spot and have launched an investigation into the incident. The body has been sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem examination.

The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. However, both the police and the deceased’s family suspect that it could be a case of murder.

Further investigation is underway.
