Tokyo: Indian men’s archery team reaches quarters, fencer Bhavani Devi crashes out

Guwahati, July 26 (NKTV): The Indian men’s archery team has qualified for the quarter-final of the men’s team event after beating Kazakhstan in the round of 16 at Tokyo Olympics today. The Indian trio of Atanu Das, Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav edged past the Kazakhstan team 6-2.

However, India to get a tough fight in the quarterfinals as they will face South Koreans later in the day. Meanwhile, India’s first Olympic fencer Bhavani Devi won her debut match in round of 64 but lost the round of 32 match against fourth seeded M. Brunet 15-7.
