Three men allegedly involved in the shooting attack targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have been arrested at Rajasthan’s Kota railway station while travelling by train, according to reports.

Two of the accused are from Haryana, while the third is from Maharashtra. All three are suspected of having links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to news agency, investigating agencies suspect that trained shooters carried out the attack after conducting reconnaissance of the actor’s movements. Sources said the accused had monitored Shroff’s weekly routine and knew that he regularly visited the Juhu football ground on Sundays.

The assailants allegedly tracked his movements and timed the attack as he was leaving the venue in his car.

Following the firing, the suspects reportedly escaped along a pre-planned route via SV Road, passing through Vile Parle and Andheri. They allegedly abandoned their motorcycle near Andheri West railway station before boarding a train towards Borivali.

Preliminary intelligence suggested that the suspects subsequently crossed the Maharashtra border and entered neighbouring Gujarat in an attempt to evade law enforcement, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has warned that gang violence would not be tolerated in Mumbai and that those responsible for the shooting would face a strong response.

Shinde visited Shroff at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area late Sunday night following the incident. He enquired about the 36-year-old actor’s health, spoke to his concerned family members and assured them that adequate security would be provided.

The shooting occurred in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening when unidentified assailants allegedly targeted Shroff’s car. The actor escaped unharmed, while his driver and another person sustained injuries.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post that has gone viral. However, police have not yet verified the authenticity of the claim.

After meeting Shroff, Shinde said criminal networks needed to be uprooted once again, referring to the action taken against gangs during the 1990s.

“Their roots were dug up in the 1990s when gang wars had flourished. The time has come to uproot them in the same way again,” he said.

Responding to a question about the shooting, Shinde issued a stern warning against those involved in the attack.

“It will be tit for tat, bullets for bullets,” he said.
