Sonowal, Himanta express mutual admiration for each other in their speeches

The outgoing chief minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, in his speech during the legislature party meeting, thanked the people of Assam and extended his wishes to Himanta Biswa Sarma. “We did immense work for the people of Assam in the last five years. So they have chosen us again,” Sarbananda Sonowal said.

He also thanked the alliance partners AGP and UPPL for supporting Himanta Biswa Sarma and electing him as the leader of the legislature party. He also added that he believes that Himanta Biswa Sarma will work for bringing prosperity and development in Assam.

While, speaking on the occasion the newly elected chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, also thanked Sarbananda Sonowal and hoped for his guidance in the coming years. He further added that BJP will always work for the people of Assam and development of the state will be its first priority. He also said that he will keep working on maintaining the integrity of indigenous people of Assam.
