Minister Ashok Singhal Inaugurates “Heyansh House” at Royal Global University

Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal today officially inaugurated the “Heyansh House” at Royal Global University, a premier institution of higher learning in the city.

During his inaugural address, Minister Singhal extended warm wishes to the esteemed faculty, talented students, and dedicated staff of the university. He emphasized the unique privilege of studying at a distinguished institution like Royal Global University, highlighting the auspicious timing as today’s students are set to graduate during a pivotal era of the country’s independence.

Singhal underscored India’s status as the world’s youngest nation, with 540 million youth aged between 15 and 25 years. He expressed confidence that the youth of India, witnessing a golden age of independence, will propel the nation from a developed country to a superpower and, eventually, to a world leader. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the next 25 years as a period of prosperity, Singhal envisioned India becoming the world’s second-largest economy, reaching a $5 trillion milestone. He noted that India’s significance in the global market is such that any pause in its consumption would create a crisis.

Highlighting the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Singhal credited the changed perception of India on the world stage to the country’s recent achievements. He stressed that the primary goal of education is to convert information into knowledge and spoke about the importance of recognizing and nurturing individual skills inherent in each student.

“Society measures a person not solely by the education acquired but by their contribution to society,” Singhal emphasized, asserting that education should serve as a tool for societal betterment. He expressed gratitude to the university authorities for providing top-notch infrastructure, enabling students in Assam to access world-class education within their home state.

The event witnessed the presence of A.K. Panchari, Chancellor; A.K. Modi, Pro-Chancellor; and S.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Royal Global University, alongside a considerable number of teachers and students.
