Rishabh Pant tests Covid-19 positive in England

Guwahati, July 15 (NKTV): Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has tested positive for Covid-19 in England, various national media reported. The explosive batsman will not travel with the Indian squad to Durham where they will take part in a practice match ahead of the five-match test series against England.

BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla speaking to PTI said “. “Yes, one player has tested positive but he has been in isolation for the last eight days. He was not staying in any hotel with the team, so no other player has been affected.”

Rishabh Pant had recently went to watch a Euro cup match with his friends at the Wembley Stadium in London. The Indian cricket team were given a 20-day break after competing in the final of the inaugural World Test Championship final in Southampton.
