Rajasthan Royals contribute 4 players to the Indian squad for T20 World Cup

The 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in the United States and the West Indies was announced by the BCCI on Tuesday. Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, experienced spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and pace bowler Avesh Khan (reserve) were among the players selected for the Indian team who will kickstart their campaign on 5th June 2024 against Ireland in New York.With the Royals currently sitting on top of the IPL 2024 points table with eight wins from nine matches, Ranjit Barthakur, Chairperson, Rajasthan Royals, commented on the news of Rajasthan Royals’ players being selected in the Indian Men’s Team for the much anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

He said, “We are incredibly delighted and proud to have four of our Royals get selected for the biggest international T20 competition in the world. These four individuals including our captain Sanju Samson, have proved their mettle at the highest level by excelling for the Royals in the IPL this season.

Their maturity and the determination has stood out, and we are confident they will make our nation proud at the World Cup.”“It is also an incredible opportunity for all of the Indian team’s fans in the North East to witness the high quality cricket they have been playing, and showcase their support from close quarters before they proceed to represent the country in the United States and the West Indies in June,” he added.Rajasthan Royals squad is set to arrive in Guwahati on 13th May 2024 for their two home matches at the ACA Stadium against Punjab Kings (15th May) and Kolkata Knight Riders (19th May).
