Guwahati, July 19 (NKTV): Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta today announced the new SOP for the state which shall come be in effect for a week from tomorrow morning.
Details of the new SOP are as follows:
- Total curfew has been imposed in five districts viz. Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur and Biswanath for a week.
- Grocery stores shall be open till 5:00 PM in these districts. Transportation except for essential services is banned.
- In Morigaon and Goalpara, curfew has been imposed from 1:00 PM till 5:00 AM. Grocery and vegetable stores to be open till 5:00 PM.
- Curfew hours in the other districts shall remain the same.
- Inter district travel has been put on halt for another week.
- On upcoming Eid, people have been urged to go for Namaz at homes.
- A maximum of five people are allowed to read Namaz at Maszids.
- In case of emergency, oxygen supply to be made available at home.
