Mamta Banerjee’s brother Ashim Banerjee succumbs to Covid-19
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s brother Ashim Banerjee have succumbed to Covid-19 on Saturday morning at Kolkata. He was undergoing coronavirus treatment at a private hospital before breathing his last today. According to reports, he breathed his last at 9.20 am this morning.
Ashim Banerjee had tested positive for Covid-19 nearly a month ago and was admitted since then and was suffering from serious Covid-19 complications.
The state of West Bengal had reported 20,846 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s total caseload to over 10.94 lakh. However, 136 patients have succumbed to Covid-19 in the same period.
