JP Nadda to Visit Assam on May 9; NDA to Hold Crucial Meeting on May 10
Senior BJP leader J.P. Nadda is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on 9th May.
A joint meeting of the BJP Legislative Party and NDA alliance partners will be held on 10th May, which J.P. Nadda is expected to attend.
The meeting will formally elect the Leader of the BJP Legislative Party as well as the leader of the NDA alliance in the Assam Legislative Assembly.
All newly elected NDA MLAs have been directed to be present for the important meeting.
On the evening of 9th May, the NDA leadership is likely to stake claim to form the government by meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP-led NDA government is scheduled to take place at 12 noon on 12th May, 2026.
These developments indicate that the process of government formation in Assam is progressing rapidly following the party’s decisive victory in the 2026 Assembly Elections.
