Guwahati, June 26 (NKTV): The Kokrajhar Police on Saturday observed the International Day against drugs abuse and illicit trafficking at Kokrajhar Police Station that discussed deeply over the eradication of drugs abusive environment among the society.
Village Defense Party (VDP) personnels, members from different NGOs, citizens participated the observation and discussed at length over the elimination of the drugs abuses in the district. Participating members holding placards sends a message to create awareness and preventing measures against the drugs abusing in the district.
Additional SP Kokrajhar Surjeet Singh Panesar, Kokrajhar PS Officer in-Charge Dipak Saikia were graced as speakers and delivered lectures on the awareness building on drugs abusive among the society.
Panesar asked the Police, VDP personnels and police jawans to initiate strict step against the drugs peddling and abusing. He said that police administration has been intensified strict steps against the drugs abuse cases as well anti social activities in the district.
