Several parts of Guwahati were severely affected by artificial flooding following heavy overnight rainfall.
Areas including Panjabari, Satgaon, and VIP Road were badly waterlogged. Noonmati and Nepali Chowk also witnessed significant flooding.
Many two-wheelers and four-wheelers parked on the roads were submerged in the floodwater. Commuters heading to their workplaces early in the morning faced major difficulties navigating through the waterlogged streets.
This recurring issue of artificial flooding has once again highlighted the poor drainage infrastructure in the city, causing widespread inconvenience to residents.
