Gurugram Hit-and-Run Accused Driver Kalyan Bainsla Arrested, Attempt to Murder Charge Added
Gurugram Police have arrested Kalyan Bainsla, the driver accused of deliberately ramming his car into a woman sports-bike rider on Golf Course Road. Bainsla was arrested from Dausa, Rajasthan, along with another accused, Lavnish Gurjar.
Police invoked an attempt to murder charge based on CCTV footage of the incident. The offence carries a punishment of up to 10 years in prison.
The incident took place on Sunday when a white sedan suddenly swerved left and struck Sia, who was riding an Aprilia RS 457. The impact sent her crashing onto the road, while her bike slid across the road, throwing sparks.
