GSA Youth & Kids League 2026 Set to Kick Off on September 12
The 5th GSA Youth & Kids League Football Tournament 2026, organised by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) in association with NorthEast United FC, is set to begin on September 12 at Judges’ Field in Guwahati. The tournament will continue till October 11.
One of GSA’s flagship grassroots football initiatives, the Youth & Kids League aims to provide young footballers with regular competitive exposure, match experience and a platform to develop and showcase their talent.
The fifth edition has received an encouraging response, with around 130 teams comprising nearly 2,000 young footballers registered across different age categories.
Matches will primarily be played on Saturdays, Sundays and state and national holidays. In view of the half-yearly examinations of school students, Saturday matches will be held exclusively in the evening under floodlights, helping young players balance their academic and sporting commitments.
The tournament will feature competitions in the Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 categories. Matches in the U-7 to U-15 categories will be held at Judges’ Field, while the U-17 and U-19 matches will be played at the GTC Football Academy Ground in Phulung.
The tournament reaffirms the Guwahati Sports Association’s commitment to promoting grassroots football, nurturing young talent and creating a structured pathway for aspiring footballers.
The strong participation this year also reflects the growing interest in competitive football among children and young players in Guwahati and surrounding areas. Organisers are looking forward to an exciting and competitive fifth edition of the Youth & Kids League.
