Incessant rain has led to devastating floods and landslides across the state of the Assam in the last few days. According to reports, 31 people have been killed due to the flood. The government of Assam has stated that around 19 lakh people have been affected by the devastating floods.
Assessing the situation in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and took stock of the situation.
