Drone Attack Reported at NSCN-K (YA) Commander’s Residence in Myanmar
A drone attack was reportedly carried out at the residence of NSCN-K (YA) commander Akham Konyak in Langkho village, Myanmar, after midnight on October 3.
According to local sources, three NSCN-K (YA) cadres were killed and two others were seriously injured in the attack. Some local residents, however, claimed that two civilians were also injured. The casualty figures and identities of those injured have not yet been independently confirmed.
The incident comes amid heightened security tensions along the India–Myanmar border following the September 29 ambush on an Assam Rifles patrol near Nampong in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district. Reports said one Assam Rifles personnel was killed and four others were injured in that attack. NSCN/GPRN (YA) and the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) later claimed responsibility for the ambush.
