Dibrugarh’s DDSA stadium to host Ranji match of elite group after 18 long years. A buzz of cricket can be seen among the cricket fans as top graded domestic cricket returns to Dibrugarh after 18 long years. People are eagerly waiting for Assam versus Andhra match. It was on the year 2005 when the last Ranji match of elite group was held in the upper Assam town.

The match was held between and Assam and Kerala. Fans would be excited to see hard hitter Riyan Parag’s scintillating innings that he displayed in the initial two Ranji matches of 2024. Assam’s captain had scored two consecutive tons in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Riyan’s form has been talk of the town for quite a long. Starting from Deodhar trophy Riyan displayed a tremendous form with both bat and bowl. Assam’s opener Rahul Hazarika also scored a valuable century against Kerala in Barsapara.

Meanwhile, Andhra consisting of a strong base has Hanuma Vihari in the team who had played few test matches for India. The DDSA are trying their best to make the match a grand success. Crowd is also expected to come in to watch the match starting from 19th of January.
