Data Theft Racket Busted by Basistha Police; Notorious Fraudster Siddhanta Sharma Arrested
Basistha Police have arrested notorious fraudster Siddhanta Sharma in connection with a data theft racket targeting automobile showrooms.
According to reports, the accused allegedly stole confidential data from vehicle showrooms by luring employees with monetary incentives. He reportedly persuaded showroom staff to share sensitive information in exchange for money.
A case has been registered at Basistha Police Station vide Case No. 422/2026, under Sections 61(2), 306, 316(4) and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Meanwhile, Basistha Police have launched an intensive operation to identify and apprehend other individuals allegedly involved in the racket.
