Guwahati, August 12 (NKTV): Twitter have locked official accounts of the Congress party and many of its senior leaders on Thursday. The Congress took to Instagram to share a screenshot and wrote, “The official Twitter account of Congress has been locked”. Congress have also said that the twitter has also locked the account of Rahul Gandhi after the post revealing identity of Delhi rape victim’s family.
Senior party leaders like Randeep Surjewala and Ajay Maken accounts were also locked by twitter. Earlier, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) took cognizance of Gandhi’s tweet and directed Twitter to act against the Congress leader’s account for violating the privacy of a minor victim, mandated by the laws of the land.
