CM Himanta Biswa Sarma greets people on Kali Puja and Deepavali

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma greeted the people on the occasion of Kali Puja and Deepavali.

In a statement here today, Dr. Sarma said, “In our spiritual life; religious festivals hold a great significance. Worship of Goddess Kali is one such festival which holds the essence of our cultural, devotional and spiritual life”. Moreover, the festival of lights Deepavali is also an occasion which helps us to dispel darkness and go forward for promise and positivity”.

Dr. Sarma on this occasion, urged upon all to celebrate Deepavali with adequate regard for the environment. He also requested the people to desist from the practices which are likely to cause environmental pollution.

Chief Minister Dr. Sarma hoped that the celebration of Kali Puja would lead to wiping off negative vibes along with superstitions from the society. He also said that the celebrations of Kali Puja and Deepavali would also enable the people to stand united against all social evils and strengthen the bond of friendship and camaraderie.
