Assam down town University Celebrates 900+ Placement Offers at “Success Meet 2026”
Assam down town University successfully organized “Success Meet 2026” on 23rd May 2026, bringing together students, parents, faculty members, and university leadership to celebrate the outstanding placement achievements of the graduating batch. Organized by the Directorate of Career Advancement, the event marked a proud milestone in the university’s journey of empowering students through industry-oriented education and career-focused opportunities.
With the inspiring theme, “From aspirations to accomplishments, every success story begins here,” the event reflected the journey of students transforming their dreams into professional accomplishments through dedication, guidance, and perseverance.
The university proudly announced 900+ placement offers and counting, secured through the participation of 121 leading companies during campus recruitment drives for the academic session 2025-26. Students received opportunities across diverse industries, with the highest package reaching 9 LPA and an impressive average package of 4.60 LPA. More than 250 offers above 5 LPA further highlighted the growing confidence of recruiters in the talent nurtured at Assam down town University.
Some of the prominent recruiters included HCLTech, PwC, LTIMindtree, Asian Paints, Marico, Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC Bank, HDFC ERGO, Kotak Mahindra Bank, CavinKare, Shyam Steel, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Sun Pharma, Info Edge, and Lenskart among many others.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c), Directorate of Career Advancement, who spoke about the university’s vision of building a strong culture of employability and professional excellence among students. In her speech, Dr. Borah emphasized the importance of preparing students not only academically, but also through skill development, industry exposure, mentorship, and career guidance. She acknowledged the collective efforts of students, parents, faculty members, and recruiters in making the placement season a grand success. She further highlighted how the Directorate of Career Advancement continues to create meaningful industry collaborations and future opportunities for students, aligning with the university’s mission of producing capable and confident professionals.
One of the major highlights of the event was the inspiring address delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Assam down town University.
