ACA to organise U-19 tournament in 6 zones across Assam

The Assam Cricket Association is going to organise the J.K. Barooah (U-19) Inter-District Tournament from January 5, 2022 in six different zones across the State – Head Quarter Zone (Venue – Goalpara), Southern Assam Zone (Venue – Karimganj), Upper Assam Zone (Venue – Dibrugarh), Central Assam Zone (Venue – Nagaon), Northern Assam Zone (Venue – Dhemaji) and Lower Assam Zone (Venue – Barpeta).

The matches will be played in a 40-over format during the tournament, which will be participated by a total of 42 teams divided into the six zones mentioned above. Moreover, in this edition of the J.K. Barooah (U-19) Inter-District Tournament, two new teams – President’s’ XI and Secretary’s XI – have been included apart from the various district units in a bid to make the tournament more competitive.

In the Head Quarter Zone, Rangia will face Secretary’s XI on January 5, 2022.

In the Southern Assam Zone, Lakhipur and Dima Hasao will lock horns on January 5, 2022.

In the Upper Assam Zone, Tinsukia will play against Charaideo on January 5, 2022.

In the Central Assam Zone, Bokakhat and Hojai will face each other on January 5, 2022.

In the Northern Assam Zone, Udalguri and Mangaldoi will enter into a clash on January 5, 2022.

In the Lower Assam Zone, Bilasipara will face Bongaigaon on January 5, 2022.
