Former Assam cricketer Anshuman Bhagawati, has been appointed as the Cricket Strategy and Technical Consultant of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) for a period of three years.
Bhagawati represented Assam in First-Class and List A cricket between the 1994-95 and 1998-99 domestic seasons. He was also the captain of the Assam team that achieved a historic triumph by winning the Vijay Merchant Trophy U-16 during the 1994–95 season.
Following his playing career, Bhagawati transitioned into coaching and cricket administration, dedicating himself to the development of young cricketers. He has made significant contributions to grassroots cricket in the United Kingdom, including the establishment of the City Cricket Academy in Leicester, which has played a vital role in nurturing and developing emerging cricket talent.
