AASU urges SEBA, Universities to confirm their stand on holding exams soo

The All Assam Students Union (AASU) has asked SEBA to clear the ongoing confusion regarding HSLC, HS exams in the state. The students’ body has also insisted the Gauhati University and others varsities of the state to announce the mode of exams in which it will be conducted so that the confusion and chaos among the students dampen.

Amid the second wave of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic, schools, colleges and other educational institutions are being closed by the administrations. With this, the students are demanding that exams be conducted in online mode or are be postponed. Students of the various institutions across Assam have been protesting in this regard.

AASU has urged the Secondary Education Board of Assam to clarify it’s stand on the matter and confirm whether the HSLC exams will be held or not.

In a press meet organized on 24th April AASU said “Gauhati University should announce the mode of conduction of examinations as soon as possible. The University administrations should look at the ongoing situation and decide whether the UG and PG exams will be held online or offline and disclosed immediately.”
