Tiger Shroff Was Not the Original Target; Shooters Allegedly Planned to Attack Aamir Khan, Probe Reveals
Fresh details have emerged in the investigation into the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car. According to reports citing Mumbai Police sources, the alleged shooters had initially planned to attack actor Aamir Khan before shifting their target to Tiger Shroff.
The accused reportedly conducted reconnaissance several times around Aamir Khan’s residence. However, they allegedly decided to target Tiger Shroff instead after concluding that reaching Aamir would be difficult due to his unpredictable movements.
According to a report by a national media outlet, the accused visited the area around Aamir Khan’s residence at least three times. The accused, identified as Phool Singh and Rehan Ansari, reportedly travelled from Haryana to Mumbai on September 20.
During their stay in different parts of the city for nearly a month, they allegedly attempted to monitor Aamir Khan’s movements.
The investigation reportedly revealed that Aamir sometimes left his residence for shooting assignments and, upon returning to Mumbai, spent extended periods indoors. As the actor did not follow a fixed routine for going out, the accused allegedly found it difficult to approach him.
Police sources claim that after conducting further reconnaissance towards the end of September, the accused changed their plan and decided to target Tiger Shroff.
Investigators suspect that the accused considered Tiger an easier target because they had access to information about his regular movements.
The actor reportedly played football every Sunday at the football ground near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu. After learning about his routine, the accused allegedly began monitoring his movements.
On the evening of October 18, two armed men reportedly opened fire at Tiger as he was getting into his car after finishing a football session near the ground. Investigators have reportedly found that a third accused was waiting nearby on a motorcycle.
The firing injured Tiger’s driver, while the actor himself reportedly sustained minor injuries. Despite the incident, Tiger drove the car himself and took his injured driver to a police station.
According to investigators, the accused had visited the same football ground on October 11 but returned without carrying out their plan because Tiger did not turn up to play that day.
A week later, they allegedly returned to the location and waited for the actor. Police sources claim that the shooting took place as Tiger emerged from the ground.
Investigators are also examining whether the alleged plan to target Aamir Khan was connected to a threat he received in July this year.
According to reports, a person claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had allegedly threatened the actor at the time. The message reportedly also raised objections to Aamir Khan’s personal life and his multiple marriages.
However, investigators have not yet established any direct connection between the alleged threat issued in July and the shooting incident in October.
The investigation is continuing, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged change of target and the possible motive behind the attack.
