Trial in Zubeen Garg Murder Case to Begin from Monday in Fast-Track Court
The main trial in the Zubeen Garg murder case will commence on Monday in a Fast-Track Court.
The court has summoned four witnesses to testify on June 8. Among them are Hemanta Das, the then Superintendent of Police (SP) of Morigaon, and Bhaskar Barman, the then Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Morigaon Police Station.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Pranab Saikia and the complainant, Ratul Bora, will also depose before the court.
The first FIR in connection with the Zubeen murder case was lodged at Morigaon Police Station. Based on this FIR, the CID registered the case and initiated the investigation.
A total of 394 witnesses have been listed in the case. The court is scheduled to record witness statements from June 8 to June 20.
