Balipara Foundation has announced the dates for the 14th edition of the Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics™ Forum (EHNF) 2026, which will be held from October 30 to November 3, 2026, as part of the larger Naturenomics™ Week a collaborative, multi-institutional sustainability platform involving leading academic institutions across Assam.

The forum is expected to bring together over 2,000 participants from more than 15 countries, including policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, educators, youth representatives, indigenous communities, sustainability practitioners, and innovators. Discussions during the event will centre around ecological resilience, regenerative economies, and future development pathways for Northeast India and the Eastern Himalayan region.

As part of Naturenomics™ Week, thematic sessions and institutional collaborations will be hosted across five major academic institutions in Assam, each focusing on a key dimension of sustainability and regional futures.

TISS Guwahati will lead discussions on Communities, Culture, and Indigenous Futures, while Cotton University will focus on Forests and Biodiversity. IIT Guwahati will host dialogues on Water and Energy Futures, Gauhati University will deliberate on Sustainable Land Futures, and Assam Royal Global University will explore Green Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.

In addition to policy discussions and academic exchanges, EHNF 2026 and Naturenomics™ Week will also feature experiential sustainability exhibits, demonstrations of technological innovations, circular and green economy showcases, social entrepreneurship initiatives, and collaborative engagements connecting academia, industry, and local communities.

Over the past 13 years, the Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics™ Forum has emerged as a significant regional and international platform at the intersection of ecology, economy, conservation, and community-led development. The initiative has played an important role in promoting cross-sector collaborations, amplifying indigenous and local knowledge systems, encouraging youth participation in sustainability discourse, and strengthening conversations around nature-positive development in the Eastern Himalayas.

Previous editions of the forum have witnessed participation from leading organisations and institutions such as TERI, ICIMOD Nepal, Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation, and the Royal University of Bhutan, alongside major corporates including HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, JSW Energy, Tata Consumer Products, Tata Power, SEROS, and The Coca-Cola Company.

Through Naturenomics™ Week and EHNF 2026, Balipara Foundation aims to strengthen institutional collaboration and position Northeast India and the Eastern Himalaya as influential voices in shaping future-facing sustainability, climate resilience, and regenerative development discourse.

Further details regarding speakers, programme schedules, partnerships, and participation are expected to be announced in the coming months.
