Verdict on Siddhartha Sharma’s bail plea on 28th April

The fast-track court hearing in the sensational Zubeen Garg Death case saw significant developments today.

The court has reserved its judgment on the bail application of accused Shyamkanu Mahanta, which will be pronounced on 30th April.

During the hearing, senior advocate Pran Bora argued on behalf of Shyamkanu Mahanta, while advocate Rajdeep Banerjee from Kolkata presented arguments through video conference. An application was also filed seeking the release of items seized from Shyamkanu Mahanta.

The government side, led by Public Prosecutor Ziaur Kamar along with a team of lawyers, strongly opposed the bail plea.

Meanwhile, the bail application of co-accused Siddhartha Sharma was filed on Thursday. The court will deliver its verdict on Siddhartha Sharma’s bail plea on 28th April.

The developments are being closely watched as the trial progresses in the high-profile case.
