City Cricket Club clinch 8th APCC Headquarter Zone

City Cricket Club emerged champions of the 8th Assam Premier Club Championship 2025–26 (Headquarter Zone) by defeating Bud Cricket Club on the basis of a first-innings lead in the final.

The highlight of the match was a magnificent double century by Rishav Das of City Cricket Club, whose outstanding batting performance played a decisive role in his team’s triumph.

The championship was successfully organised by the Guwahati Sports Association under the aegis of the Assam Cricket Association.

Both the team qualified for the Final round of the Championship.

During the Closing Ceremony, Biswajit Majumdar, former First Class cricketer of Assam, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony was further honoured by the presence of Paresh Chandra Das, President, Guwahati Sports Association; Kajal Paul Choudhury, Treasurer, GSA; Nasir Gul Khan, Sports Secretary (Cricket), GSA; Pramod Rajbongshi, Executive Member, GSA; Gautam Hazarika, former First Class cricketer of Assam; Mukut Kalita, former State cricketer of Assam; and Munin Nobis, CEO, GSA.
The dignitaries jointly gave away the prizes, marking a fitting and memorable conclusion to the championship.
