In a heinous incident, a 19-year-old girl was raped by a youth named Rabi Das. The incident occurred in Bhitordoloni village of Narayanpur in Assam. According to reports, the girl was raped on Monday by Rabi Das who threatened to kill her with a sharp weapon.
Reports say that the girl had gone to her aunt’s house for a marriage ceremony where the youth raped her. The girl initially didn’t reveal the incident that happened with her in her aunt’s house but confided with her parents after returning home.
The parents then registered an FIR against the youth and the police started the initial investigation regarding the case. The alleged rapist has detained by the police for interrogation.
Earlier, a 9-year-old girl was also raped and hanged in Gogamukh which had created immense sensation in the state. Rape cases against women and girls are increasing in Assam these days compared to the last few years.
