The Sri Lanka cricket team has been on a roll in the one day format. The team has now won thirtheen matches straight in the fifty over format. On Saturday, the Lankan team defeated Bangladesh by 21 runs to clinch their first match in the Super 4s of the ongoing Asia cup. With this win the Sri Lankan team has won thirtheen matches in a row, which is the second-longest winning streak in the men’s one day cricket history.

With this win over Bangladesh, Sri Lanka is currently on second position of the Super 4 in the Asia Cup. The record of winning most consecutive matches in a row is held by Australia, who have won twenty one matches straight in the one day format.
