Twitter: 11 lakh accounts banned in India

Microblogging site Twitter has banned around 11 lakhs account in India between April and May months for violating there community guidelines. According to reports, banned accounts were mostly promoting non-consensual nudity and child sexual exploitation.

1,843 accounts were also banned for promoting terrorism on Twitter. Some reports also say that Twitter approved 83% of global government requests to restrict or block content, including those from India and Turkey.
