Third wave of Covid likely to hit India in 6-8 weeks: AIIMS Director

Guwahati, June 19 (NKTV): Director of AIIMS Dr Randeep Guleria has said that the third wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic is likely to hit India in six to eight Weeks.

Reportedly, Dr Guleria has predicted that the third wave of Covid-19 can hit India any time in the next six to eight weeks and that it is time to prepare for the same.

Guleria said that the lack of appropriate Covid behaviour is very evident in the recent as well as previous unlock as a result of which, cases shall rise again. He also said that the third wave of Covid in India is likely to last a bit longer than the previous waves.

“Crowds are Building up, people are gathering. We can all predict the aftereffects” he said.
