Palestinian Death Toll In Gaza Exceeds 32,800

The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip had risen to 32,845, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said in a press statement on Monday.

The Israeli army killed at least 63 Palestinians during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 32,845 and injuries to 75,392 since the Palestine-Israel conflict broke out on Oct 7, 2023, according to the ministry.

On Monday, the Israeli military released a statement saying that in the past two weeks, its troops conducted targeted military operations at Al-Shifa, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, killing over 200 military personnel and arresting about 500 others. The detainees have since been relocated for further interrogation.

The report also said that Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on members of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and their military structures in central Gaza, killing multiple military personnel. Additionally, the Israeli army continued its operations in Al Amal, Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, killing several military personnel. It also carried out airstrikes in Rafah, southern Gaza, resulting in casualties.

Also on Monday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said that its military personnel launched rocket attacks on Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles in Khan Yunis and engaged in clashes with Israeli rescue forces, causing injuries to Israeli soldiers. On the same day, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said that its military personnel launched rocket and mortar attacks on an Israeli tank and multiple soldiers as the Israeli troops prepared to withdraw from the area near the Al-Shifa Hospital.
