Northeast states witness progressive decline in Covid cases: DoNER Minister
Guwahati, July 4 (NKTV): Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh yesterday said that there has been a progressive decline in Covid-19 cases in all the Northeastern states except for Meghalaya.
Singh expressed satisfaction that all the states are catching up with national average in terms of decline in positivity rate. He added that Meghalaya is the only exception which witnessed a surge due to the Covid outbreak in a Jail in Ri-bhoi district.
Positivity rate for NE India, which was 3.96 per cent on June 30, has come down to 2.94 per cent.
